About the Journal
XueYuWen(formerly known as YuWenBao) is a monthly journal designed to help students learn Chinese language and culture in the U.S. It has two levels: Beginner Level and Intermediate Level.
Beginner Levelwith Pinyin and English support, serves to stimulate students’ interest in learning Chinese in and out of the classroom. It has games, songs, poems, stories, word puzzles, and writing by students, as well as educational and instructive comprehensive reading selections.
Intermediate Level deepens and broadens students’ exposure to Chinese language and culture. It is full of reading materials with exercises, and provides SAT, AP and HSK test exercises to help students in preparing for advanced learning.
The journal is supported and supervised by an advisory group of experienced language teachers and scholars. It is nurtured and edited by a group of experienced teachers and professors who are working at universities, high schools, middle schools and elementary schools in both the US and China. It has been recognized as "a friend for learning Chinese and a bridge to know about China" by students, teachers and parents for years.
